The Society of Uniformed Services Psychiatrists is pleased to offer Self-Assessment Continuing Medical Education (SA CME) that seek to improve the diagnostic assessment and management of psychiatric disorders identified in the DSM-5. SA CME in this module are focused on Neurocognitive Disorders, Sleep Disorders, and Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint providership of the American Psychiatric Association (APA) and the Society of Uniformed Services Psychiatrists.  The APA is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Psychiatric Association designates this live activity for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed A Self-Assessment Program: Assessment, Management, and Treatment based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-Fifth Edition (DSM-5) and has approved this program as part of a comprehensive self-assessment CME program, which is mandated by the ABMS as a necessary component of Continuing Certification.

  3. On Self-Assessment Topic Page Alpha – Click “Neurocognitive Disorders” Link.
  4. Complete all 25 questions on the Neurocognitive Disorders Google Form quiz Set. Click Submit.
  5. In your email inbox, open the Google Form results email and click “view score” to view your knowledge assessment along with all answers and rationales. 
  6. Go back to Self-Assessment Topic Page Alpha (see registration form email for link), click “Sleep Disorders and Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders”.
  7. Complete all 25 questions on the Sleep Disorders and Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders Google Form quiz Set. Click Submit.
  8. Follow instructions on the next screen to redeem your 2.0 CME credits.


Educational Objectives
At the conclusion of the program, participants will be able to:

  1. Accurately assess knowledge in specific clinical areas in order to accurately direct lifelong learning.
  2. Earn continuing education credits necessary for recertification.
